You may find it hard to believe! A pet cat belonging to Zhang Qiming has given birth to 3 kittens and a pup (or a kitten that looks like a pup?), in Zhengzhou in central China. The ‘pup’ looks like a poodle pup and has become a centre of attraction with people thronging in at Zhang’s home to have a look.
Zhang said:
It looks very different from the other kittens, and its mouth, nose and paws are all dog-like. Also, its tail is one centimetre shorter than that of the other three kittens.
Zhang went on to say that the cat has been with him for more than two years and had given birth before but all the progeny were kittens.
I always let her go as she pleases, to date other cats or play outside overnight.
Wonder what the scientists have to say about the freak progeny? Or maybe somebody wanted to pull Zhang’s leg (read as ‘April Fool Joke’) - picked up a pup from a dog’s litter and kept it among the kittens.
