Zogby international’s poll is an eye-opener for people and authorities round the globe. According to the poll, majority of Americans have severely criticized the American Red Cross and Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA)policy of not including pets in the disaster rescue programs.
It’s strange that the sacrifice of around 50,000 pets was necessary to wake up the Americans. How can we turn away our eyes form our best friends and wait for some natural phenomenon to trigger our emotions towards animals.
