Give your pet a lot of fresh drinking water which isn’t frozen.
Keep your pets on a strong leash in the snow as they are likely to get lost during the winters. Make your pet wear a collar and ID.
In extreme weather conditions, please keep your pet indoors. At least let them stay in the garage. Don’t leave them in the cars.

Keep your pets coat longer to provide more warmth. Brush them regularly. It helps natural oils to spread which improves their fur coat.
Completely dry your pets after you bathe him in winter months. Wipe them thoroughly. Make sure that their ears are completely dry.
Feed your pets on a regular schedule. Trim those hair on their feet.
If your pets cannot do without snow, give them more quality diet than usual. Take them in immediately when they show signs of getting too cold.

Check their paws for irritation, cuts and frostbite. Use animal-safe chemicals to melt ice.
Provide them a warm bed to cuddle in when they come back. And you can always get them those cute sweaters, caps and socks.
The pet house should be lifted from the ground to protect from the cold.
