The most populous nation of the planet has reached another, a sort of, landmark with the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) proudly encashing on the skills of 7,000 dogs in active service. The military dogs are trained to actively take part in military operations ranging from scouting, telecommunications and mine detecting. Military dogs have helped in cracking hundreds of criminal cases till now.
The training program lasts for eight month in which selective breeds are inducted at a very early age. Almost all PLA Military Commands have military dog teams and training centers.
