A research has reporte that pets in house have moved beyond protecting the house from theives into the health domain. Jane Heyworth from University of Western Australia in Crawley claims in his research that pets reduce the risk of gastroenteritis in young children by 30 percent.
Facts provided by the research contradicts the common belief of pets being the cause of stomach flu and converts it with pet-licking as improving the immune system of kids against pathogens.
Pets have earlier proved their merits with keeping depression and heart-disease at bay, but with a serious case of gastroenteritis further clinical trials to affirm the truth.
