It’s tough times ahead for the dogs in Romania. Death of a Japanese man who was bitten by a stray dog was enough to instigate the authorities and plan out an influx of 1,000 medical students especially to sterilize stray dogs in Bucharest city. Shelters and veterinary facilities too will be refurbished.



The 100,000 stray dogs are gifted by former communist dictator Nicolae Ceausescu who ordered to demolish hundreds of houses in the 1980s, forcing the dogs on the streets, and now they’ve to pay the price of the worsened situation.
