They are the most unlikely couple but they just refuse to be seperated from each other. This is the story of a monkey and a pigeon who have become inseperable mates.
An animal sanctuary in China is playing witness to an odd friendship between a 12-week-old macaque and a white pigeon. The macaque was abandoned by his mother and was close to death when it was rescued on Neilingding Island, in Goangdong Province. It was then shifted to an animal hospital where he reclaimed his health, but still lacked the spirit to live on.
But God sends a saviour for everyone in need, and the macaque got his saviour in the form of a white pigeon. The little macaque developed a friendship with the pigeon and got a new reason to live. According to the sanctuary staff, the two developed a strong liking for each other which has helped the macaque regain his health. Now the two are always found attached to each other.
I wish the human race could learn from such examples.

These living creatures have proved that friendship gives true meaning to life :-)
Very true, Pooja. Infact, such emotions are the very essence of life, otherwise we would all become lifeless objects.
very nice story.. it aids in believing in friendship all over again.. Thanks for this awesome post
Thanx for the comment, Deepanjana. You know, these type of instances give us a reason to sail smoothly in this world, which otherwise has turned into a very bad, bad place.
Hi Aneez, I think such a real-life story proves that even animals are open and accepting to other species. Wonder if a class of moral values with such a story can teach a thing or two to Raj :)
Aurangzeb killed his brother Dara Sikoh and Murad for the throne. Raj wants to do the same to Uddhav for the throne of Vilasrao.
Being a human doesn’t guarantee one the right and possession of the precious package of love and compassion; and being an animal doesn’t strip any living being of it’s right over these emotions.
Now if someone wants to portray himself as an emotionless jerk, its his own wish.
As far as I am concerned, I would like to campaign for that ’monkey’ rather than supporting someone like Raj!
i wonder how such strange couples r born....there must be some animal science behind it..
Hey Siddhesh,
Its really strange that you find those couples ’strange’. In fact, those who don’t feel comfortable sharing love n affection are the real strange ones.
But pity, now we have too many of the ’strange’ kind.
Odd couple but not strange. Love does show up even unusual places.
Not sure if you know, but there was a wild lioness in Africa who started taking care of baby deer and they stayed together for almost 8 months... She left her pride and the two of them were inseparable till one day a lion killed and ate that deer. The lioness stopped eating after that and I don’t remember if she survived that shock.
Thanks for the input, Manish :)
And yes, love is everywhere.
Very interesting bit Aneez.
And yes Manish I kinda remember that story form NG. I think the lioness survived.
Thanks for the comment, Gagan. :-)
I don’t find anything strange in this bonding...And we are witnessed to many such odd bondings by the news channels...
Angela, I sympathize with you from the deepest of my heart. Not because you don’t find this bonding strange, but because you can’t lift yourself up from the natural (and erring) human tendency to generalize such things.
I hope you are not trying to relate this story to the one that was hyper-publicized by these news channels - the story of the lovelorn Prof. Batuknath!
Aneez,”friendship” is the most beautiful relationship created by God and nurtured by living beings,a very good contribution by a true friend of mine.
From the article:
”I wish the human race could learn from such examples.”
Thanks a lot for the comment Mr. Vijay. And yes, friendship IS the most beautiful relationship!
Awww....I’m jealous!
Love between animals is touching.
hey look the monkey is fall in love with bird
This is the cutest thing ever!!!
very nice story.. it aids in believing in friendship all over again.. Thanks for this awesome post
Aneez- How are you today?
What a logical person sees is a smorgasbord of food and knows that if some creature can’t get one of it’s instincts of emotion met it will find it outside it’s species, or even an inanimate object
By putting human emotions on animals and picking which ones we should love or eat tells how emotion rules over logic, because if it is cute in humans eyes we love it, but if not we stamp on it or gorge our faces with it
As a conscious human our philosophy shoud be if you can’t work it or eat it we shouldn’t have it or glorify it
We in canada seen a sea loin try to mate with a cow- no big deal
