With toxic readymade dog food playing havoc with your dog’s life, its time to prepare some dog food at our home. Your dog will just love these homemade Winter Yum Yums, worked on by Lisa Haneberg. These are simple homemade and very healthy cookies.
The ingredients for about 150 cookies, 1 1/2 inches square and 1/4 inch deep:
* Carrots: 2 lb peeled, boiled, and mashed
* Pumpkin: 15 ounce
* 4 eggs
* Turmeric Powder: 2 1/2 tablespoons
* Garlic: 4 tablespoons minced
* Wheat Germ: 3/4 cup
* Rolled oats: 2 1/2 cups
* Flour: 5 to 5 1/2 cups
Recipe:
Mash the boiled carrots after complete drying. Mix it well with carrots, pumpkin, garlic, turmeric, and eggs. Add the wheat germ and rolled oats and continue mixing. Start adding the flour a bit at a time. Use hands if comfortable. Roll out the dough to 1/4 inch in thickness and cut it into 1 1/2 inch squares. Bake on parchment paper at 300 degrees for 45 minutes. It’s ready to be gobbled-up by your dog...of course after cooling.
